Rukmini Balika Nilayam in Dandeli, Karnataka is a hostel for the tribal girl children. Children from the Siddhi community, an ethnic group inhabiting India who descended from Southeast Africa as slaves by Portuguese merchants. The children from class 4 to 10 are supported and they attend the near by government school.
